Data protection

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data with confidentiality and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations as well as this privacy statement.

When you use this website, a range of personal data is collected. Personal data means data that makes it possible to identify you personally. This privacy statement explains what data we collect and what we use them for. It also explains how and for what purpose this takes place.

We would like to point out that the transmission of data over the internet (e.g. during email communication) may be associated with gaps in security. Uninterrupted protection of the data from third-party access is not possible.

24223 Schwentinental

Phone no.: +49 (0) 43 07 81 67 0

The data controller is the natural or legal person who, severally or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses and the like).

Storage duration

Unless a more specific storage duration has been mentioned within this privacy statement, we will store your personal data until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or revoke your consent to the data processing, your data will be erased unless we have any other legally permissible reasons for the storage of your personal data (e.g. retention periods according to fiscal or commercial law); in the latter case, erasure will take place upon expiry of these reasons.

Information on the transmission of data to the USA and other third countries

Amongst other things, we use tools of companies that have their registered office in the USA or other third countries that are not secure in terms of data protection. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transmitted to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that a level of data protection comparable to that of the EU cannot be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are obliged to disclose personal data to security agencies without you, the data subject, having the option to take legal action against this. It cannot be ruled out, therefore, that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) may process, evaluate and permanently store your personal data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing procedures are only possible with your express consent. You may revoke any previously granted consent at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing that occurred up until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right of objection to data collection in special cases as well as objection to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF THE DATA PROCESSING OCCURS ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6 (1) (E) OR (F) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO FILE AN OBJECTION TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR SPECIFIC SITUATION; THE SAME APPLIES TO ANY PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. PLEASE REFER TO THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT FOR THE SPECIFIC LEGAL BASIS FOR ANY DATA PROCESSING. IF YOU FILE AN OBJECTION, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED, UNLESS WE CAN PROVIDE EVIDENCE OF COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING THAT OUTWEIGH YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR UNLESS THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ASSERTION, EXERCISE OR DEFENCE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 (1) GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF CARRYING OUT DIRECT ADVERTISING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO FILE AN OBJECTION TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSES OF SUCH ADVERTISING AT ANY TIME; THE SAME APPLIES TO ANY PROFILING THAT TAKES PLACE IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH DIRECT ADVERTISING. IF YOU FILE AN OBJECTION, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, the data subjects have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their usual place of residence, their place of work or the place of the suspected breach. The right to file a complaint remains in effect irrespective of any other administrative or legal rights to judicial remedy.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that are automatically processed by us on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or a third party in a conventional, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another data controller, this will only be carried out if it is technically feasible.

SSL and TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential contents, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the website operator, this website uses SSL and TLS encryption. An encrypted connection can be recognised by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://”, in addition to the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar.

When SSL and TLS encryption is activated, the data that you send to us cannot be read by third parties.

Information, erasure and rectification

Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right to free information regarding the personal data stored on you, their origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if necessary, the right to rectification or erasure of these data at any time. For this, as well as for any further questions on the topic of personal data, you may get in touch with us at any time.

Right to restriction of the processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. For this you may get in touch with us at any time. The right to restriction of the processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of the personal data we have stored on you, as a general rule we require a certain period of time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data occurred/is occurring unlawfully, you may request the restriction of the data processing instead of erasure.
  • If we no longer require your personal data but you require the data for the exercise, defence or assertion of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
  • If you have filed an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, your interests must be weighed against ours. Until it is determined whose interests outweigh the other’s, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data – aside from their storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of substantial public interest of the European Union or a member state.

They are stored on your device either temporarily, for the duration of a session (session cookies), or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after you conclude your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your internet browser.

Cookies of third-party companies may also be stored on your device when you access our website (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for the processing of payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are necessary from a technical point of view because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping basket function or the playback of videos). Other cookies serve to evaluate user behaviour or to display advertisements.

Cookies that are necessary for implementing the electronic communication process (essential cookies) or for the provision of specific functions desired by you (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping basket function) or for the optimisation of the website (e.g. cookies to measure the online audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is indicated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically faultless and optimised provision of its services. If consent was obtained for the storage of cookies, the storage of the cookies concerned takes place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR); this consent may be revoked at any time.

You can set up your browser so that you are informed of the placement of cookies and only allow cookies on a case-by-case basis, exclude the acceptance of cookies in specific cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies upon closing the browser. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analytical purposes, we will inform you about this separately within the scope of this privacy statement and will request your consent, if necessary.

As a result, Font Awesome is made aware of the fact that this website was accessed via your IP address. The use of Font Awesome takes place on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the uniform display of the typeface on our website. If corresponding consent was obtained (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR; this consent may be revoked at any time. If your browser does not support Font Awesome, a standard font from your computer is used. You can find further information on Font Awesome in the Font Awesome privacy statement at: https://fontawesome.com/privacy.

Google Maps

Google Maps This website uses the map service Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In order to use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. As a rule, this information is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence over this data transmission. When Google Maps is activated, Google may use Google Web Fonts for the purpose of a uniform display of the typefaces. When you call up Google Maps, your browser loads the required Web Fonts to your browser cache in order to display texts and fonts properly. The use of Google Maps takes place in the interest of an appealing display of our online offering and in the interest of making it easy to find the locations indicated by us on the website. This represents a legitimate interest as set out in Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
